Insurance collision repair

You bring the claim number, we take it from there

Insurance collision repair covers the full scope of post-accident restoration: structural assessment, damage documentation, insurance-required photo reporting, parts approval and final repair to pre-accident condition. You are never required to use the shop your insurance company recommends.

Documented before your carrier ever sees it

We inspect the full extent of collision damage, including structural components that aren't visible in surface-level photos. That assessment generates the documentation your insurance company requires to approve the repair — before you've negotiated anything with your carrier.

  • Structural components inspected, not just panels
  • Documentation built for carrier approval
  • Process begins the moment the vehicle arrives

You don't manage the adjuster

We contact your insurance carrier directly and submit the damage report, photos and repair estimate on your behalf. Once approved, we confirm parts sourcing — OEM or quality aftermarket, depending on your policy terms.

  • Damage report and estimate submitted directly
  • You are not the go-between with the adjuster
  • Parts sourced per your policy terms

Carrier-preferred is a suggestion, not a requirement

In Massachusetts you have the legal right to choose any licensed auto body shop for your insurance repair. Choosing Invisible Touch over a carrier-preferred shop does not affect your claim eligibility or your payout. Preferred shops work on volume contracts — we work on your vehicle.

  • Legal right to choose your own shop in MA
  • No effect on claim eligibility or payout
  • Not incentivized to minimize repair scope

What it covers

What your policy pays for — and what you owe

Collision coverage pays for repair or replacement after impact, minus your deductible. Comprehensive coverage handles non-collision damage like hail, vandalism or theft.

You Choose the Shop

In Massachusetts you have the legal right to choose any licensed auto body shop for your insurance repair. Choosing Invisible Touch over a carrier-preferred shop does not affect your claim eligibility or your payout.

Panel and body damage repair

Doors, quarter panels, hoods and other body panels damaged in the collision, repaired or replaced as the damage requires.

Bumper repair and replacement

Bumper cover dents, cracks and structural damage to the bumper beam or brackets, repaired where possible and replaced when the structure requires it.

Frame straightening and structural realignment

Computerized frame straightening for any structural misalignment the collision caused, restoring the vehicle to manufacturer tolerance.

Paint blending and color matching

Color-matched refinishing using your vehicle's OEM paint code, blended into adjacent panels so repair lines aren't visible.

Rental car coordination

If your policy includes rental reimbursement, we coordinate that alongside your repair timeline.

How it works

Five stages, starting the moment your vehicle arrives

The process begins with the assessment — not after you've already negotiated with your carrier.

  1. Initial damage assessment

We inspect the full extent of collision damage, including structural components that are not visible in surface-level photos. This assessment generates the documentation your insurance company requires to approve the repair.

  2. Claim coordination

We contact your insurance carrier directly and submit the damage report, photos, and repair estimate on your behalf. You do not need to manage adjuster communication — we handle it.

  3. Parts and labor approval

Once your carrier approves the claim, we confirm parts sourcing and begin scheduling your repair. We work with OEM and quality aftermarket parts depending on your policy terms.

  4. Structural and cosmetic repair

Repairs begin with any structural work required — including frame straightening if the impact affected alignment or chassis integrity — followed by panel repair, paint matching and finishing.

  5. Final inspection and delivery

Every insurance repair job is inspected against the original pre-accident condition before return. If additional damage is found mid-repair, we notify your carrier for a supplemental claim approval before proceeding.

Why this shop

You choose the shop, not your carrier

Insurance-preferred shops work on volume contracts — Invisible Touch works on your vehicle. We are not incentivized to minimize your repair scope to protect a carrier relationship.

All major carriers accepted

We accept claims from all major personal and commercial auto insurance carriers, including State Farm, Allstate, Amica and Commerce Insurance. If you don't see yours, call us directly.

Your deductible is the only thing you owe

Your deductible is paid directly to Invisible Touch at the time of vehicle pickup — not to your insurance company. The remainder of the approved repair cost is billed directly to your carrier. The one exception is upgrades beyond factory-standard parts: if you choose premium alternatives your policy doesn't cover, that difference is billed to you as well.

Every repair inspected against pre-accident condition

Every insurance repair job is inspected against the original pre-accident condition before return. If additional damage is found mid-repair, we notify your carrier for a supplemental claim approval before proceeding.

Do I need multiple estimates before choosing a shop?

Massachusetts law does not require you to get multiple estimates for an insurance collision repair claim. You can bring your vehicle directly to Invisible Touch Inc., and we will document the damage and submit the estimate to your carrier. Some insurers may request a second opinion, which we can coordinate.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

Rate increases after a collision claim depend on your insurer and your claims history — not the repair shop you choose. Filing a claim for a not-at-fault accident typically has less impact on rates than an at-fault claim, but this varies by carrier and policy. Contact your insurer directly for rate impact specifics.

What is a supplemental claim?

A supplemental claim is filed when additional damage is discovered during repair that was not visible in the initial inspection. At Invisible Touch, we notify your carrier immediately if supplemental damage is found and do not proceed until the additional work is approved. Supplemental claims are common in collision repairs involving structural components.

Can I keep the insurance payout instead of repairing my car?

In Massachusetts, if you own your vehicle outright (no lien), you are generally permitted to accept an insurance payout without completing repairs. If you have a lien on the vehicle, your lender typically requires the repair to be completed before releasing the funds. We recommend confirming with your insurer before making this decision.

How long does an insurance collision repair take?

Most insurance collision repairs are completed in 5–10 business days, depending on the extent of structural damage, parts availability, and adjuster approval timelines. We provide an estimated completion window at drop-off and contact you directly if the timeline changes.
