FAQ
FAQ
The questions everyone asks
Insurance, timing and what happens to the car. If yours is not here, the phone is quicker than a form.
Insurance
Do you work with all insurance companies?
Yes. We are approved with all major carriers and handle estimates, photo documentation, supplements and parts authorisation directly with your adjuster.
Can my insurer make me use their shop?
No. In Massachusetts the choice of repair shop is yours. An insurer may recommend a shop, but cannot require one.
Who pays the deductible?
You do, at pickup, unless the other party's carrier accepts liability — in which case we bill them direct and you pay nothing.
What is a supplement?
Additional damage found once the vehicle is stripped. We photograph it, submit it to your carrier, and do not start that work until it is authorised.
Estimates & timing
Is the estimate really free?
Yes — written, itemised, and yours to take elsewhere.
Can you estimate from photos?
Most of the time. Wide shots of each damaged side plus close-ups are usually enough to put a number in writing.
How long will my car be in the shop?
One to two days for PDR, two to six for paint, four to ten for collision work with parts in stock. Structural jobs can run longer if parts are back-ordered.
Do you offer a courtesy vehicle?
We coordinate rental through your carrier where the policy covers it, and can arrange collection from the shop.
The repair
Will the paint match?
Colour is pulled from your vehicle's paint code, verified on a spray-out card against the actual panel, then blended into adjacent panels. That is why it matches on faded paint too.
Do you use OEM parts?
OEM or OEM-equivalent on structural work, always documented. If a carrier insists on aftermarket for a cosmetic part we will tell you before fitting it.
Do you recalibrate sensors?
Yes, wherever the repair touches a sensor, bracket or mount. ADAS recalibration is part of the scope, not an afterthought.
What does the warranty cover?
Lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own the vehicle, covering our repair and refinish work. Paint and film products carry their own manufacturer terms.
